Today the road takes us to Hays, KS. We've been through Hays a number of times and have stayed there once before. From the interstate it doesn't look like anything special, but it is because of the people.

I'm sorry but eastern Colorado and western Kansas look a lot alike. We rode to Kremmling and fueled, and then we rode to Aurora and fueled. Then Stratton and WaKeeney. Somewhere along the way we had lunch. The only thing I really remember is the people that came out to see us. At on stop there was a little girl that had a medal around her neck. I ask what it was for, her Mom said her teacher had given it to her for "being kind". I thought to myself, wouldn't it be nice if we all had medals for kindness.  The people of western Kansas are all very kind and giving. I thank them for coming out to see us.

When we got to Hays we went straight to Doerflers Harley Davidson for dinner. Mexican! It was great! They worked on some of our bikes and feed us too! We hung out at the dealership a little longer than we should have but it was a good time with new friends. Tomorrow was a big day, Ground Breaking in KC for the new camp.
